My Story: From Panic to Peace

Hi, I’m Kai, and I know what it’s like to have anxiety take over your life.

A few years ago, I was running my third company, juggling work, life, and the relentless pressure to succeed. But beneath the surface, I was battling severe panic attacks that left me feeling helpless. I tried everything—therapy, meditation, self-help books, even a shamanic training in South America for over a month. I was doing all the things you’re “supposed” to do, but instead of getting better, things got worse.

I hit a breaking point and had to step away from everything. I spent three months in a holistic Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, slowly piecing my life back together. It was there I discovered something crucial: When anxiety really hits, your mind goes offline. No amount of positive thinking or self-compassion can pull you out of a panic attack.

What I didn’t know back then is that the key to immediate relief lies in your body, not your mind. Simple, physical exercises can distract you, ground you, and pull you out of the spiral—anytime, anywhere. These tools became my lifeline, and they’re the foundation of everything we do at The Anxiety Support Hub.

Now, let me be clear: Therapy, meditation, and other approaches are incredibly valuable. I still recommend them to anyone, even those who don’t struggle with panic. They have their place, and they’ve helped me in many ways. But when you’re in the middle of a panic attack, or when life can’t stop—when you have a job, a family, and responsibilities—you need something that works right now.
